Quickstart: proxy your first request

Create a virtual key and send a chat completion through Andora Shield in about five minutes. One virtual key per provider path — the provider is in the URL.

1. Create a virtual key

  1. Sign up at /auth/signup and finish onboarding (or open Dashboard → Shield).
  2. Paste a real provider API key — it is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
  3. Copy the virtual key once (sk-andora-…). Store it like a secret.

2. Call the proxy (curl)

OpenAI-shaped JSON. Provider is a path segment — there is no single shared OpenAI base URL for all vendors.

For Anthropic, use /proxy/anthropic/v1 with the same virtual-key pattern (provider must match the key).

4. See it in the dashboard

Open Dashboard → usage and Shield metrics. Set a spend limit on the virtual key to verify hard caps (including mid-stream cutoff on streaming responses).

Providers

GA providers are production-ready. Bedrock and Vertex are beta (custom endpoint URL + Bearer token — not native IAM/ADC yet).
